ayee, vancouverite here :p (greater vancouver area, but still lol)

my least favourite thing about vancouver is living in surrey T_T

there have been so many violent incidents lately, not too long ago there was a targeted shooting down the street from my house. its scary shit, especially as a visibly queer guy. the queerphobia i have experienced thus far hasnt been physically dangerous for me, but seeing as some kids in my grade were recently arrested for being boutta jump someone with a weapon, i cant help but to think "where would i be now if i was more outspoken?". the kids were people i shit talked for being assholes, and im just glad it never got back to them lol.

tbh tho, its not the worst here. i got some good friends and you only live once, no point living in fear. just surround yourself with people that make u feel good, and to quote some rando on the internet,

DO NO HARM, BUT TAKE NO SHIT!

plus, the large south asian population means GOOD FOOD !!
