I was complaining about modern social media and how it isn't exactly safe for me to use, and a friend of mine mentioned Spacehey. A social media service with no algorithms? Extreme customization? a whackload of different communities at least somewhat active? Sounded perfect to me.
I will say, this site has been much easier on my mental health than anything else has been.

I found Spacehey by accident when I was looking at stuff from old Myspace on google.
