A Guide for Identifying Your Feelings/Emotions

Know that you are safe to explore, express, and release.

Your emotions/feelings are not YOU.

All emotions/feelings are welcome.

This is a safe space to express and embrace them.

When we acknowledge and give our feelings the time and space they need, we can the release them and move forward.


First, let's connect to our breath:

Breath in for 4 counts

Hold for 4 counts 

Breath out for 4 counts

Hold for 4 counts 

Repeat as needed

Observe it:

What color, shape, and texture is it?

Let's listen to the feeling/emotion, what does it have to say, what does it need?

Sit with it, give the emotion/feeling what it needs and all the time it needs. Thank it for showing up and for trying to protect you in some way.
