Where is the subscribe to thread button??

Am I wrong to think that it's integral to any message board that you should get notifications when there's a new post in a thread you follow? Does this website have that feature? Am I expected to click through the forums and manually find and check every thread that I think is interesting or that I'm participating in? Or is there a better way to follow threads that I'm not getting? I'm enjoying this website a lot so far but this is frustrating me. Thank you.
