Creating Mods

For those interested, there's a list of 300+ custom scenarios for anno 1602! From what I see most of them are functional

Anywho, here's how I got them to work:

using the link http://www.annopool.de/filebase/index.php?category-file-list/31-anno-1602-scenarios Navigate to the scenario you want and click it

click download, usually it's a zip file

extract it to your "own scenarios" folder. This is usually located in documents. for example mine was c:\users\alexander\documents\anno 1602 history edition\own scenarios

Confirm that an ".szs" file was extracted there, this is the file format that 1602 reads for custom scenarios

That's it! It should show up under "own scenarios" when you launch 1602 (it's at the bottom in the drop down list of campaigns/scenarios)
