So I guess I should get this group started with a thread of some sort.

Tell me about the last time you went out birdwatching! It's still too cold for me where I live so I haven't been out in a hot minute. I've just been watching the sparrows and juncos and magpies from home. They're really sweet. I feel like I've been seeing a lot more juncos this year then I did last year (or maybe I'm just noticing them more.)

i recently went out birding and saw a bunch of red-winged blackbirds! not the most impressive find, but i’m pretty new to birding so it excited me anyway lol. one of the birds was sitting on a stump near me and calling so i was able to get a really good look at it. no pictures though, i got too excited and it totally slipped my mind :(
