Recording - unless you want to film it with you phone or something (which doesn’t look good)
Use hypercam 2 or bandicam, if its unregistered that will make it feel more authentic as no one in that time wanted to really buy a recording software for $2. You can record with obs and edit in the watermark later, but it probably wont look as good.
Editing - so that your video isn’t 2 hours long.
You can get Windows Movie Maker 2.6 off archive.org since its pretty much abandonware, however: Sony Vegas 10.0 - 12.0 also works, however its more tailored to people who have a basic understanding of editing than someone who’s never edited before.
The Client - one of the most important parts.

You can also use Novetus, it works just as well.. maybe even better.
Misc.
If you REALLY want to go overkill with it, you can setup a virtual machine with windows xp/vista and play it on there, but this isn’t nessecary.
So you want to use your voice? Make sure your mic is low quality sounding, but you are still audible. Best example of this is the YouTuber “cooper2723”.
