My favourite album is The All-American Rejects self-titled album (2003). Great album from the early-mid 2000's and way ahead of its time.

The Fragile by NIN.  It perfectly captures the cycle of depression.  The lyricism is on point, the music is tight, the instrumental tracks give the album the room it needs to breathe.
