i really like fantasy life for the 3ds. it's getting a sequel on switch Somehow but it was not well known before

i also very much enjoy hidden object games like the house of 1000 doors series and the spirits of mystery series. they're janky but so fun to pass time with

Cold Fear (akin to Resident Evil 4 and was developed around same time, so not a clone)

Obscure and disappointing Obsure 2 (akin to Resident Evil 1/2/3 in  a way)

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines (1st and 3rd person WRPG)

Sleeping Dogs (spiritual successor to True Crime open world series games)

If we're talking obscureee, then I definitely gotta go with the old PC titles like Road Wars. Vehicle-combat game and pretty much abandonware at this point, I'm not even sure how to get it working on any operating system newer than Windows Vista. The game *is* 24 years old, after all, but I loved it growing up. Hot Rod: American Street Drag was another old PC racing title I loved, but also haven't been able to get to work on newer systems. Wish more people new about these, they were the shit for me in my younger years

there's also the dog island which i haven't played myself but i watched my friends play a little bit of it a long time ago, it's very cute but has a surprisingly dark storyline apparently

ok i lowkey was/am an ipad kid so most of my childhood fave games were mobile games

spy mouse: actuaallyy such a good game. its not on the app store anymore so i cant play it anymore. in the game you play as a mouse and you need to collect pieces of cheese and not get caught by cats. ik it sounds so generic but the art style was so nice, music was great and even though the concept is so simple, all the levels felt really different.

toca band: ITS FOR BABIEs but the music in it ugghgghghgh the rapper omg i love it i could listen to it on loop. and the design honestly in all toca boca games. its so good i truly admire the creators so much

also hamster ball on ps3 so good soooo good and so much fun to play multiplayer

I’ve always been a huge fan of open-world games. GTA: San Andreas will always be one of my all-time favorites because of how much freedom it gave compared to other games at the time. Still replay it every now and then—such a classic!

On the strategy side, Stick War Legacy is another one I keep coming back to. It’s simple but super addictive when you get into the different strategies.
