a favorite of mine is funny pizza land, an absolutely disgusting looking and terrible game i have almost no info on. i really like the globalmediamonster though, she's so cool!!
i'm also a big fan of abandoned mmos like worlds online, even though it isn't super obscure

mine isnt exactly abandoned /forgotten/mysterious but it is one called jet set radio!! its a very very nice game i love it!

funny pizza land sounds awesome, i'll have to give it a try! recently i played "sewer rave", which is a game where you wander through a sewer system full of rats and try to gather "rat items". so far i have like 2/5 rat items. the rooms are procedurally generated so when you go back through the door you just came through, it's a totally different room than the one you were just in. it sucks in the best possible way

Pocket Creature PvP
It's a simple strategy game made with Flash that I played all the time when I was around 8, but never beat at the time cuz I sucked at strategy (and still do) but I kept coming back to it cuz I really loved the style (It very clearly takes a lot of inspiration from Patapon with the art-style)

Some of the strangest gems I’ve played were Yume Nikki fangames and a forgotten browser RPG called Dragon Hearts — clunky, ugly, but somehow addictive enough that I still think about it years later. https://casperspins1.co.uk/ is where I usually switch when I’m in the mood for something competitive rather than nostalgic, because the betting layout is clean, payouts come through without weird delays, and the live odds make it feel like a real match of strategy instead of blind luck.
