It's happened with me and a few of my friends. Most of them have faded away, and a few I've talked about it, but then they end up fading away anyway.

most of the time, it's my own fault. i'm awful about responding to people and sometimes it will just fade into never conversing with the person again. i've never been an extendedly social person so this isn't anything new for me but i know lots of people don't understand or get upset by it.
