Just got started with tarot... A little late at 38yo!
I am a very pragmatic and skeptical person (though I'm not rude to others who have different beliefs obviously) but I find that tarot helps me meditate on my life, plan, problem solve etc.
All that to say I'm still not past the point of looking up each card every time so I'm very open to any and all suggestions or tips!
