i really wanna get back into the sims but i played it on xbox so i cant get mods but wheni play on PC i grieve all the backs i had ;-;

ngl mods are the only things that keep me playing

I still occasionally play nut usually only when they end up having a super sale which means their plan is working for them LOL...

But I don't use mods anymore since you're supposed to update with each update lol I did use wicked whims and basemental drugs, and it's as fun as they say, at first. AND if you do get that mod make sure you go right into its settings (the whole website goes into detail and there's tons of YouTube out there on it) otherwise you will have family, kids, neighbors , everyone getting it on at random and in public. Lol there's add-ons to it as well that you cam actually get periods and preg randomly!

When I'm bored I like doing challenges people have created with rules! It adds more "game" to the game for me.

I'm also on the gallery, be sure to use bb.moveobjects on cheat before placing my houses but there isn't custom content so they are good to download <3 Alexxcaughtfire on the gallery

i love the sims but i hate how annoying it is to mod. no matter what u do theres always gunna be at least 5 errors... rn my mods dont even work LOL. even tho i modded it perfectly fine and it was working b4 xd

The Sims 4 was one of the first games I got that was for ME. I’ve loved the game for so long and have taken my anger out on so many sims I honestly feel bad sometimes also I’ve gotten so many of the game packs istg 

I love playing the game but I'm so bad at coming up with original characters to play! I keep making characters I like from media and playing with them instead, like making fanfiction through the game.

It's still fun though! Just... don't look at my mods folder. It's probably bigger than the game itself at this point /exag

ive been playing the sims 4 on my xbox but i recently found out its free on pc, so now im downloading it, and ive been playing the sims 3 and 2 including the pets part of sims 3 and 2! i love the games sm they r dearest to my soul <3333

I've been playing Sims 2 more lately, I play Sims 4 as a dress up game, it's so customizable but sometimes that gets tiring and Sims2 is better at storylines and gameplay for me!

i freaking love the sims 4 it sucks you gotta spend like 500 dollars to have all dlc on it though

I know slice of life is popular for more chaos but if you just want more in depth gameplay, there's stuff like wicked whims(or wonderful whims if you don't want the more graphic parts of it). Another popular one is mc command center, which just gives you more control over your game. I don't know 100% though bc even though I have like 100s of hours on ts4 I play mostly on console and my computer definitely could not run mods. But I've reverted back to ts3 and I definitely recommend it, especially if you buy a few packs, because it's super fun.

Basementals mods SAVED me I love the drug and gang mod but now I cant make sims that arent either convicts or nitties sometimes both

Also cannot play w/o sacrificial's tragedy and extreme violence mod. I recommend both these creators mods they're compatible and add so much chaos to the game it almost lives up to the sims 1-2 chaos

oh yea, i only use lovestruck, tiny living, for rent, get to work and cottage living in sims 4. i mostly used cc on dresses and some furnitures because some cc furnitures will become like blur or destroyed smth lol

I really like Sims 4 and play on MAC. I have no clue how to mess with mods but the recent release of the Grim Reaper pack looks so cool!

I used to have mods to play with magic cratures, but they got useless with all the DLC updates 

I've been playing a LOT of Sims 4 on console just so I could get all the trophies and achievements for it

u need ui cheats extension and mc command center and the childbirth mod if u want children or just pregnancy in general.

The sims 4 will always be my comfort game. Fave mods are the typical ones, mcc command center, ui cheats, and just a bunch of custom content.

I know this is weird but I play sims 3 on my 3ds, ds, and my computer but I do love the sims 4 its THE game for a all nighter

Just came here to say that i absolutely despise the Sims 4 even tough i wanted so bad to play it since i was little. Once i finally got my hands on it i was so disappointed. EA totally ruined it with the money hungriness, i hate EA. 1000+ dollars for a game is insane, it's probably even more now.

I don't want to fuel the credit cards of EA anymore. I will be waiting on Paralives. It's a shame Life by you got cancelled.

I would also say downloading Cursed Forge (It's a mod manger application for the computer) and I get all of my CC from that!

i agree the base game feels a bit empty. a lot of functions you should be able to do just dont exist in the game.

some mods i use are road to fame, lifes drama, extreme violence, lifes tragedies, wicked whims (or wonderful whims if you want to keep it pg, as it still has interesting features like attraction system and menstrual cycles), memorable events, livein services, passionate romance, foster family, simdadating app..

Sims 4 basegame is very boring, that's true. Maybe add some mods like "slice of life".

For packs: personally my must haves are Island Living, Cottage Living and City Living. They all come with new worlds and have a lot of gameplay. I also recommend Seasons. But trust me wait for the discounts. Never buy anything full price haha ;)

Dang i love sims!! Yea vanilla sims is so lame so i think u can use most common and popular mods for start and add more if u want so. I played with whicked whims, basemental drugs (for cigs only lol), and healthcare redux. They have all kinds of options too!!. Mostly i download a lot of CC lfrom like clothes to teeth presets lol. My mods folder is like... 28 gb ig.. 

Oh hehe and if u ask me i say anadius is my best friend cuz js look at that price of all dlcs!!!

i have wayyyy too many hours on TS4 but i use a TON of mods, whether it be script or cc. the other sims game i play a lot is TS2! the animations are just so lovely and alive.... huge fan :-]

i dont think u need mods, just a storyline and maybe a legacy challenge 

playing sims on console is like a death sentence i just can't do it.

you can find some good mods for better gameplay on curse forge! they have a desktop app and everything that makes downloading mods/cc so much easier now 

TS4 got waaaaayyy more fun for me when I started playing my legacies with short lifespan. I also like starting with just one sim and absolutely no furniture and no money. Not even a single wall! It adds some difficulty and gives the game a sense of progression. Other challenges are a good time, too. 100 baby, Not So Berry, etc.

For mods, I always install MCCC, UI cheats, Better Build-Buy, and More CAS Columns. Sometimes TOOL if I want to build. There's a handful of tweaks by TwistedMexi I like to use. Anything more drastic tends to kill my enjoyment of the game TBH. I like a lot of the abstractions the game makes; it's like playing dolls. The lack of realism makes it more fun for me. I do have a decent number of packs, though, so I have some variety that makes most gameplay mods & CC unnecessary.

Re: CurseForge, be just as careful as you would on other sites! IDK if it's ever been an issue for TS4, but there have been cases of malware spreading through Minecraft mods on CurseForge, some quite recently. Better safe than sorry, yk?

I only play sims4 with mods... I have over 1k in my folder u.u

It really depends on what you're playing for. I play mostly to create characters so curseforge is a savior for downloading cas mods. Curseforge is kind of limited tho, so I would recommend borwsing Pinterest or Patreon for mods.

My fav creators rn are ZAO, san33, SUNBERRY, R8TERZ and Atomic Light over on Patreon.

I have so many game mods I honestly can't remember what is and isn't vanilla. But I DO recommend better exceptions. It'll show all your downloaded mods and identify any broken or outdated ones so they're easier to manage.

(I also use a dlc unlocker SHHHHH don't tell anyone)

I recommend moving to Sims 3, the game is fun and with a few mods to optimize it the lag is minimal, and the world feels alive. Also, mods don't break after every update
